Deluxe Sliding Loft Ladder

A very popular aluminium loft ladder due to its ease of use, double handrail and spring assisted, finger tip operation. This loft ladder attaches to the loft trapdoor; lower the door and watch the ladder bring itself out the loft space.

If your existing trapdoor lifts up into the loft you will also need to select the ‘New Hinged Trapdoor’ option.

Easy Store Loft Floor

Plus… 50mm Counter Battens!!

This loft floor deal comes as standard with counter battens installed onto the existing ceiling joists to raise the new floor above all electrical cables feeding the lights below the loft. 18mm tongue & grooved, moisture resistant floor boards is then installed onto counterbattens to form the loft floor. Ideal for those xmas decorations and suitcases and is perfect for properties with insulation laid level with the top of the joists with no intentions of increasing the insulation further.

Mid Store Loft Floor

PLUS… 125MM Cross Bracing!!

This loft floor deal comes with 125mm cross bracing installed onto the existing ceiling joists to raise the new floor to allow for a 200mm maximum depth of insulation. This is also perfect if there are existing horizontal ceiling joist braces and you do not wish for these to protrude through your lovely new loft floor. This flooring method will also raise the floor above all electrical cables feeding the lights below the loft. 18mm tongue & grooved floor boards are then installed onto the cross bracing to form the loft floor. Ideal for homes build prior to 1970 and with restricted head room in the loft space.

Web Shelving

Web shelving is a fantastic way to achieve additional storage capacity within the loft of a trussed rafter property without the cost associated with extending the flooring space. Web shelving is formed within the diagonal ‘webs’ of a common truss set up and is normally raised approximately 800mm from the floor of the loft which makes it perfect for storing items that are used more frequently.

These selves are normally around 600mm (2′) wide and as with the floor in a trussed rafter property, we advise a weight limit of 25kg per m2.

The pricing of web shelving is per linear metre.

Waste Removal

Is your loft currently full of old random boards laid to act as a temporary floor? Do you wish to completely clean your loft space prior to having our loft professionals do their thing? Then select this option and we’ll remove and dispose of any thing you don’t want to keep from the loft. All waste is disposed of following the correct methods. Proof of waste disposal can be shown if required. This price is an estimated hourly rate carried out by two members of staff and will be adjusted should the actual time taken fluctuate either way.

The Loft Boys have an arrangement with a local waste organisation who operate a state of the art waste transfer station where materials are received, processed and disposed of in the correct way.
